Location:
St. Louis, MO. This opportunity is designed for attorneys who are local to the St. Louis area. We prefer an in person or hybrid working arrangement that keeps our attorneys closely connected to their cases, clients, and team.Note:
Candidates must have 3+ years of litigation experience and be licensed in both Missouri and Illinois. Civil defense experience is strongly preferred. Medical malpractice or toxic tort experience is especially valuable, but we are also interested in strong litigators who want to develop in these areas. About Us Confidential Employer. Our attorneys are known for practical counsel, strong advocacy, and hands on litigation experience, and we offer an environment where associates can take meaningful responsibility while learning from experienced trial lawyers. Job Description Independently manage litigation files while collaborating with partners and other members of the trial team. Handle medical malpractice, toxic tort, and other sophisticated civil defense matters. Conduct factual investigations and develop case strategy. Manage written discovery, document productions, and case related analysis. Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial. Take and defend depositions. Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and other persuasive legal documents. Review contracts, policies, medical records, and other case materials. Prepare for and attend hearings, including oral arguments on motions. Participate in trial preparation and proceedings, including witness examinations and trial team support. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Missouri and Illinois law licenses in good standing. 3+ years of litigation experience. Civil litigation defense experience strongly preferred. Medical malpractice, toxic tort, product liability, professional liability, or insurance defense experience is a plus. Ability to independently manage complex matters and competing deadlines. Strong legal research, writing, oral advocacy, and client communication skills.
