A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney (2-7+ years) to join its growing California practice. Based in Emeryville, this role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated insurance coverage and commercial litigation matters spanning jurisdictions across the country.

The OpportunityAs a member of the litigation team, you will work on sophisticated matters across multiple jurisdictions, collaborating with experienced attorneys and clients on complex legal and business issues.
Key ResponsibilitiesHandle complex litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States.
Analyze insurance coverage issues and assist in coverage-related litigation.
Represent insurers in first-party and third-party coverage disputes.
Draft motions, briefs, coverage opinions, and other substantive legal documents.
Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy.
Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings.
Assist with declaratory judgment actions and high-exposure claims.
Work directly with clients and contribute to case management and strategic decision-making.
QualificationsRequiredActive membership in the California Bar.2-7+ years of litigation experience.
Strong academic credentials.
Excellent legal writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills.
Demonstrated interest in litigating sophisticated matters on a national scale.
PreferredInsurance coverage and defense experience.
First-party and/or third-party insurance coverage experience.
Experience representing insurers in coverage disputes.
Federal court experience.
California residency.
