Description Our client, a growing plaintiff personal injury law firm in Chicago, is seeking an experienced Managing Attorney to lead its Personal Injury Division. This is a newly created leadership role offering the opportunity to help shape department strategy, mentor attorneys and paralegals, and work closely with firm leadership on the continued growth of the practice. This position is ideal for a seasoned trial attorney who enjoys coaching others, developing talent, and driving results while maintaining involvement in litigation strategy. Responsibilities

+ Manage and mentor a team of attorneys and paralegals

+ Oversee daily operations of the Personal Injury Division

+ Establish and implement case handling procedures and best practices

+ Guide litigation and trial strategy across the team's caseload

+ Assist with staffing, training, and professional development initiatives

+ Partner with firm leadership on department growth and performance

+ Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture Requirements Qualifications + 5+ years of Illinois plaintiff personal injury experience

+ Experience handling cases from inception through verdict

+ Proven jury trial and courtroom experience

+ Strong knowledge of Illinois state and federal court procedures

+ Leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience preferred

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills

+ Desire to transition into a leadership-focused role while remaining engaged in litigation strategy Benefits
