The Role We are seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney for our Medical Malpractice Defense team with 2-5 years of experience. This is an exceptional opportunity to manage a high-quality caseload while working directly with senior partners and a sophisticated client base.
Mentorship First:
The initial 6 months are in-office to ensure you are fully integrated into our systems and culture.
Hybrid Flexibility:
After the onboarding period, this role transitions to a hybrid work model. Performance & Expectations We offer a manageable and transparent billable structure designed for quality over quantity.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of defense litigation: pleadings, motions, discovery, and expert development. Advocate for hospitals and insurance carriers in court and at depositions. Draft persuasive legal filings and provide detailed status reporting to insurance adjusters. Contribute to a collaborative, multi-discipline team environment to solve complex legal challenges.
Qualifications:
Illinois Bar License (Required and in good standing) . Experience in medical malpractice or insurance defense litigation preferred. Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Willingness to travel (50%) for depositions and court proceedings. Ability to
