Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a real impact supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school environment near Bloomington, IL. Work alongside caring educators and staff to foster student growth and help learners achieve their fullest potential during this contract position. Your expertise will be vital in creating strategies and interventions that make the classroom a more inclusive place for all.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current OT license valid in Illinois Previous experience in school-based settings preferred Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel Commitment to supporting children with varying physical, sensory, or developmental needs Flexibility and problem-solving skills to meet individual student needs
Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to determine strengths, challenges, and need for occupational therapy intervention Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs Work directly with students on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care routines, and classroom access Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to adapt learning materials and the school environment Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff discussions as required Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapeutic interventions Provide training and support to staff and caregivers as needed
