New York Workers' Compensation Defense AttorneyBedoya & Hussain Law Firm, LLC Base salary: $125,000-$150,000, depending on experience, plus performance bonus Hybrid | Initial in-person onboarding in Paramus, New Jersey Bedoya & Hussain Law Firm is hiring an attorney with at least four years of New York workers' compensation defense experience to manage an active caseload from assignment through resolution. This position offers substantial responsibility for case strategy, direct relationships with carrier and employer clients, and a dedicated paralegal assigned to support your caseload. You will exercise independent judgment, with senior attorneys available for consultation on complex issues and strategic decisions.

What you'll do Manage New York workers' compensation defense matters from assignment through resolution. Represent clients at hearings before the New York Workers' Compensation Board, generally conducted virtually. Conduct and defend depositions. Prepare appeals, rebuttals, legal memoranda, motions, Section 32 agreements, and case strategy recommendations. Communicate directly with carriers, third-party administrators, and employers, providing timely updates and practical advice. Maintain reliable systems for deadlines, follow-up, client reporting, and billing. Coordinate with your assigned paralegal and consult with senior attorneys as needed. What you'll bring At least four years of New York workers' compensation defense experience. Active New York Bar admission; New Jersey admission is a strong plus. Demonstrated ability to manage a full caseload independently. Experience with hearings, depositions, appeals, settlements, and case strategy. Strong written and oral advocacy, sound professional judgment, and consistent attention to deadlines. A proactive approach to client communication and a collaborative approach to working with attorneys and staff. The billable requirement is 175 hours per month . Dedicated paralegal support helps attorneys focus on legal work, client service, and case resolution.
The role begins with one week of in-person onboarding in Paramus, New Jersey, covering our clients, systems, reporting requirements, and approach to case management. The position follows a hybrid arrangement after onboarding. Compensation and benefits Base salary of $125,000-$150,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications. Performance bonus.
