Job Description
Senior Trial Attorney - Civil Litigation Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Trial Attorney to join its growing civil litigation practice. This position is ideal for a highly skilled litigator with significant courtroom experience who is confident managing complex cases from inception through verdict. The ideal candidate has a proven record serving as first chair at trial and is looking for an opportunity to handle sophisticated litigation while playing a key role in the continued growth of the practice. Responsibilities Manage a full civil litigation caseload from intake through trial and appeal, as necessary. Serve as first chair in jury and bench trials. Develop case strategy and oversee all phases of litigation. Take and defend depositions, including expert witnesses. Draft and argue dispositive motions and other substantive pleadings. Conduct mediations, settlement conferences, and negotiations. Collaborate with clients, experts, and support staff to achieve favorable outcomes. Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys when appropriate. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active license and good standing with the AZ state bar. 5+ years of civil litigation experience (or equivalent experience). Demonstrated first-chair trial experience is required. Strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy skills. Excellent legal writing, analytical, and negotiation abilities. Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters. Preferred Experience Experience handling high-exposure or complex civil litigation matters. Proven record of successful trial outcomes. Strong client relationship and business development skills are a plus. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary commensurate with experience. Performance-based bonus opportunities.
