This is a wonderful firm to work for and work life balance with no billable hour requirements. Mostly hybrid but we need a local person who can do occasional court appearances.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Represent clients in: Real Estate and Business-related litigation matters, including contract disputes.

Case Management:

Oversee and manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely progress and adherence to deadlines.

Drafting:

Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.

Legal Research:

Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.

Depositions:

Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses, clients, and experts to gather relevant information and evidence. Prepare witnesses for depositions and provide guidance on effective testimony.

Communications:

Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on their cases.

ADR:

Negotiate settlements and facilitate alternative dispute resolutions when appropriate.

Appearances:

Appear and represent clients in court hearings, trials, and administrative hearings.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with the legal team to develop strategies and ensuresmooth case management and client service.

Continuing Education:

Engage in continuing legal education and professionaldevelopment opportunities. Stay up to date with the latest legal developments and precedents in the relevant practice areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school Active license to practice law in California, and in good standing 7+ years of experience in litigation Preference for candidates with experience in real estate matters Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a professional demeanor Maintain confidentiality in all client matters Ability to work independently and engage critical-thinking skills Exceptional research and writing skills Exceptional organizational skills Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and prioritize workload efficiently. COMPENSATION

$205,000/year plus benefits
