Job Description Manage workers' compensation and employment-related matters from opening through resolution. Advise clients on legal strategy, risk, and recommended courses of action. Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Draft and oppose motions, briefs, memoranda, contracts, and other legal documents. Review and analyze discovery and determine appropriate litigation strategy. Attend hearings, court appearances, mediations, conferences, and other proceedings. Prepare comprehensive trial briefs and supporting case materials. Represent clients in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings. Facilitate expert and witness depositions. Research statutes, case law, regulations, and rulings and anticipate potential legal risks. Maintain organized case files and manage matters from opening through close. Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments, strategy, and status. Collaborate with attorneys and legal support professionals to provide responsive, high-quality representation. Qualifications 2+ years of workers' compensation or employment law experience. Active California Bar license required. Juris Doctor degree required. Experience with employment litigation, PAGA, or workers' compensation matters. Significant experience taking and defending depositions preferred.
