Summary Burr & Forman is seeking an Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join our General Commercial Litigation practice in South Carolina. The ideal candidate will be based in Charleston/Daniel Island, although candidates in Greenville or Columbia will also be considered. The associate will work on a diverse range of commercial litigation and health care litigation matters and should be comfortable taking an active role throughout the life cycle of a case. This is an opportunity to join a busy and growing litigation practice, work closely with experienced partners, and take on meaningful responsibility across a varied caseload. Qualifications 3-5 years of substantive litigation experience Admission to the South Carolina Bar and based in South Carolina Experience taking depositions and arguing motions Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills Ability to take ownership of matters and move cases forward with minimal supervision Strong judgment, initiative, and organizational skills Willingness to travel within South Carolina for depositions, mediations, and other case-related matters Preferred Experience Medical malpractice and/or skilled nursing litigation experience Trial experience is a plus but is not required
