Job Description

Our client is seeking a motivated Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing Mount Pleasant office. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career litigation attorney who wants meaningful case responsibility, hands-on courtroom exposure, and the support of an experienced insurance defense team.

What You'll DoAs an Insurance Defense Attorney, you will manage matters through the litigation process, from initial investigation and case assessment through resolution.
Responsibilities include:
Handle a diverse insurance defense caseload with increasing autonomyDevelop case strategy in partnership with clients and senior attorneysDraft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other litigation documentsConduct legal research and prepare clear, persuasive written analysisParticipate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and other court-related proceedingsCommunicate proactively with clients, opposing counsel, carriers, and industry professionalsManage competing priorities, deadlines, and case-related responsibilities with close attention to detailQualificationsJuris Doctor degree from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in South Carolina1-3 years of litigation experience; insurance defense experience is strongly preferredStrong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skillsAbility to manage multiple matters while maintaining high-quality work productProfessional communication skills and a client-service-oriented approachInterest in developing a long-term career within insurance defense litigationCompensation & BenefitsThe firm offers a competitive salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
