Job Description Conduct residential real estate closings in compliance with South Carolina law and firm policies. Review settlement statements, closing packages, and transaction documents for accuracy and compliance. Explain legal documents and closing procedures to buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate professionals. Examine title reports, title commitments, deeds, surveys, and public records. Resolve title defects through curative work and prepare title opinions. Draft and review deeds, affidavits, easements, powers of attorney, corrective instruments, and related legal documents. Advise buyers, sellers, lenders, builders, investors, and referral partners on residential real estate matters. Build and maintain relationships with Realtors®, lenders, builders, and other referral sources. Participate in networking, marketing, and business development activities. Supervise the office receptionist and help support daily office operations. Deliver exceptional client service while maintaining a high-volume practice. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active South Carolina Bar license in good standing. 4+ years of residential real estate law experience. Experience conducting residential real estate closings independently. Strong title examination and title curative experience preferred. Current South Carolina Notary Public commission. Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship skills. Established relationships within the South Carolina real estate community preferred. North Carolina Bar license is a plus.
