Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Probate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. Duties Manage all aspects of probate cases from initial filing through estate settlement, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations Draft and review legal documents such as complaints, petitions, estate inventories, and court pleadings with precision and clarity Conduct court depositions, hearings, and trials related to estate disputes or contested probate matters Negotiate settlements in probate and estate-related disputes to achieve favorable outcomes for clients Perform comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure procedural law adherence Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth estate administration processes Prepare for litigation by organizing case files, drafting motions, and participating in trial preparation activities Maintain detailed case management records using legal case management software to track case progress and deadlines Stay current on evolving laws related to tribal law & regulations, securities law, workers' compensation law, environmental law, employment law, and more to provide well-rounded counsel Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction(s) Proven experience in probate law along with familiarity in estate planning, guardinaships, general litigation, real estate, and procedural law knowledge Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms for statutory legal research and case law analysis Excellent legal writing skills for drafting motions, pleadings, contracts, and client correspondence Demonstrated ability in legal negotiation and advocacy during court depositions or settlement discussions Experience in trial preparation including evidence organization and courtroom procedures Knowledge of legal motion preparation processes and court procedures essential for effective litigation support Exceptional client communication skills with a compassionate approach to sensitive legal matters Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Prior law office experience emphasizing legal administrative tasks such as document management and case tracking Join our team as a Probate Attorney if you are passionate about delivering exceptional legal service while navigating complex estate issues.
