Duties Manage a comprehensive caseload of insurance defense matters, including personal injury claims, employment disputes, and contractual issues. Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis support case strategies and legal motions. Prepare and draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and discovery requests with precision and clarity. Represent clients in court depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparations to ensure effective advocacy. Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions that align with client objectives while minimizing litigation costs. Maintain detailed case management records, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with procedural laws across jurisdictions. Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, gather information, and advise on legal options and strategies. Skills Extensive knowledge of procedural law, statutory research, and litigation practices within Tennessee jurisdiction. Proven experience in personal injury law, general & commercial litigation, employment law cases, and contract drafting. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively in court depositions and settlement discussions. Familiarity with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development. Excellent writing skills for drafting motions, pleadings, legal memoranda, and client communications. Ability to handle complex legal cases involving estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, and statutory legal research when needed. Experience in trial preparation including organizing evidence and preparing witnesses for court proceedings. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases efficiently while adhering to deadlines. Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, colleagues, experts, and court personnel.
