Job Description
Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney (2-5yrs) Position Overview Our firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join our growing litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, writing, research, and courtroom skills and will be comfortable handling complex commercial disputes from inception through resolution. Responsibilities Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents. Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and trials. Develop case strategies and work closely with clients, partners, and other attorneys. Handle discovery, including document review, written discovery, and deposition preparation. Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties. Assist with all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation matters, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. Maintain strong case organization and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active license and good standing with the TX State Bar. 2+ years of commercial litigation experience preferred. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and case-management abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a litigation team. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously. Trial or significant courtroom experience is a plus.
