We specialize in representing clients in the construction industry and we are looking for someone with experience in commercial litigation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a diverse range of litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have exceptional research and writing skills, and experience advocating for clients. Duties Manage and oversee all phases of litigation, including case investigation, pleadings, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and court depositions. Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and Harvey. Draft and review legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, briefs, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity. Represent clients confidently in court proceedings and arbitration, advocating effectively in civil disputes. Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients while maintaining professional integrity. Prepare clients for depositions and court appearances through strategic coaching and thorough case briefing. Maintain meticulous case management records using legal case management software; ensure compliance with procedural laws and statutory requirements. Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case progress and legal options while ensuring their understanding of complex legal issues. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the bar in Texas. Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, Harvey, and e-discovery tools; adept at statutory legal research. Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling legal arguments; proficient in legal drafting and motion preparation. Strong negotiation skills coupled with effective client communication capabilities. Experience conducting depositions and hearings is highly desirable.
