We focus exclusively on advocating for plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and complex labor & employment law matters (including employment discrimination, FMLA, and wrongful termination). The Role We are seeking an ambitious, sharp, and values-driven Senior Trial Attorney to join our tight-knit litigation team. In this role, you will take meaningful ownership of a diverse plaintiff's docket, navigating clients through the legal process step-by-step from initial intake through trial or resolution. Because our practice uniquely intersects personal injury and employment law (often representing clients facing job issues after an injury), you will develop a sophisticated, holistic litigation skill set that sets you apart.
Key Responsibilities Case Advocacy & Strategy:
Manage an active litigation caseload encompassing serious personal injury, wrongful death, and employment law disputes.
Courtroom & Trial Prep:
Draft high-caliber pleadings, substantive motions, and targeted discovery requests. Conduct and defend depositions, argue motions in court, and actively participate in trial preparation and execution.
Client Champion:
Serve as a compassionate, communicative advocate for our clients, guiding them through stressful times with clear legal strategies and empathetic counsel.
Negotiations & Damages Assessment:
Formulate comprehensive demand packages, calculate economic/non-economic damages, and represent clients in high-stakes mediations and settlement discussions.
Community & Firm Growth:
Collaborate closely with Mr. Chavez and our dedicated support staff to uphold the firm's high standard of excellence and reinforce our dedication to the El Paso community.
Qualifications & Skills Credentials:
J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the State of Texas (dual licensure in New Mexico is a significant plus).
Experience:
2-8 years of civil litigation experience preferred. Experience in plaintiff-side personal injury or labor & employment law is highly preferred, but strong litigation instincts and a desire to be a true trial lawyer are paramount.
Bilingual Capability:
Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish ( Se Habla Español ) is also preferred to effectively serve our border community and diverse client base.

A strict standard of professional ethics, a strong work ethic, and a deep-seated passion for holding lawbreakers accountable to make our community safer.
