Job Description
- Reviews 3rd party contracts and negotiates with 3rd party vendors.
- In coordination with applicable departments, provide legal advice on regulatory issues and federal and state laws and regulations.
- Provides oversight and strategic legal advice to management.
- Perform other assignments as the General Counsel may direct.
- Supervises the preparation of responses to legal documents served on the bank.
- Drafts, reviews and moderates due diligence with bank contracts.
- Reviews legal bills submitted to the Bank for propriety and reasonableness of legal charges.
- Directly coordinates relationships with outside counsel retained by the Bank.
- Responsible for providing and coordinating legal review of bank compliance related matters as needed, including vendor management, assisting in setting internal governance policies, and advising as to the impact of external factors.
- Assist with the examination process for all applicable regulatory agencies.
- Run and process department reports.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a sitting stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
