2997512007-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Global Medical Response seeks a Labor and Employment Lawyer specializing in wage and hour issues within healthcare. You will advise on FLSA, state labor laws, scheduling, and pay practices for clinical and field staff, draft and review policies, manage investigations, and support litigation, audits, and agency responses. Partner with HR and operations to ensure compliance across a 24/7 emergency services environment, deliver training, and mitigate risk while supporting GMR's mission of safe, timely patient care nationwide. Responsibilities Provide legal counsel on labor, employment, and wage and hour matters across U. S. operations Advise on FLSA, state wage and hour, scheduling, overtime, and on-call pay practices Draft, review, and update employment policies, handbooks, and procedures Conduct and guide internal investigations on employee and wage-related issues Support and manage outside counsel on litigation, claims, and class/collective actions Prepare responses to government audits, inquiries, and agency investigations Partner with HR, payroll, and operations leaders to implement compliant practices Deliver training to managers and HR on labor, employment, and wage and hour topics Assess legal risk and provide practical, business-focused recommendations Monitor legal and regulatory changes affecting healthcare and emergency services staffing Required Skills Labor and employment law Wage and hour law FLSA compliance Healthcare labor regulations Policy drafting and review Legal research and writing Internal investigations Litigation support Risk assessment and mitigation Regulatory agency response Contract review Training and compliance education
