We are a fast-growing family law firm focused on providing high-quality legal representation while maintaining exceptional client communication and case organization. We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney who is ready to take ownership of cases, grow professionally, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Christensen Law (www.ccplawyers.com), a Salt Lake City law firm engaged in family and general civil practice, seeks to hire a full-time associate attorney. Pay range is $80,000 to $125,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
Job Description/Expectations:
Oversee cases and work with lead attorney as needed, depending on case and preference (mentoring and independence available, as preferred) Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients Review/analyze discovery; propound discovery requests Work on hearing and trial preparation Represent clients in court and at mediation. Comply with all legal stands and regulations. Pitch in with other cases as needed Bill an average of 140 hours per month
Qualifications:
Bar licensed with five plus years experience Familiarity with various pleading documents Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to build a rapport with clients Excellent understanding of deadlines and timeframes Excellent research and writing and verbal communication skills Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence Comfortable appearing in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations Strong organizational and case management abilities Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications Experience using case management systems such as Clio Manage Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team Strong billing judgment and time-management skills Client-focused mindset with professionalism and empathy Experience handling high-conflict or complex family law matters Spanish-speaking abilities are a plus Ideal Candidate Traits Detail-oriented and proactive Strong work ethic and accountability Comfortable taking ownership of cases Solution-oriented and adaptable Committed to providing high-quality client service Features Licensing fees paid CLE paid Flexible schedule Friendly environment Parking pass included Downtown location near
