  • We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Plaintiff Labor Law Attorney to represent employees in a broad range of employment and labor matters.
The ideal candidate is a strategic litigator with strong advocacy skills, excellent legal writing ability, and a commitment to protecting workers' rights. This role involves handling cases from intake through resolution, including litigation, negotiations, mediations, depositions, and trial preparation. The attorney will work closely with clients, staff, experts, and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes in employment-related disputes. Key Responsibilities Manage a plaintiff-side employment law caseload from inception through resolution. Conduct client consultations and evaluate potential claims. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, demand letters, and settlement agreements. Take and defend depositions. Appear in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies. Negotiate settlements with defense counsel and insurance carriers. Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case developments. Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, and firm leadership. Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements. Practice Areas May Include Wage and hour violations Overtime and meal/rest break claims Wrongful termination Retaliation and whistleblower claims Workplace discrimination and harassment Misclassification claims Leave law violations (FMLA/CFRA) PAGA actions Employment contract disputes Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active license and good standing with the California State Bar. 2+ years of plaintiff-side employment or labor law experience preferred. Strong litigation, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills. Excellent legal research and writing abilities. Experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and mediations. Ability to independently manage deadlines and caseloads. Strong interpersonal and client communication skills. Trial experience Preferred Skills Familiarity with California Labor Code and FEHA claims. Experience with contingency fee litigation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational and case management abilities. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
