Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Business Affairs Assistant Part-Time for a legal and entertainment business affairs opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. This role supports an independent studio environment and is ideal for someone with entertainment contract familiarity, legal acumen, strong administrative skills, and a genuine desire to learn the business affairs side of television and content production. This is a unique part-time opportunity to work closely with business affairs leadership on development agreements, production-related agreements, talent agreements, and rights acquisition agreements. The environment is collaborative, fast-moving, and highly professional, offering exposure to meaningful deal work while supporting a team that values discretion, accuracy, initiative, and a willingness to dig in. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, intellectually curious, and comfortable balancing administrative support with substantive legal and business affairs tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, conference call coordination, and project tracking.
- Attend business affairs calls, track deal negotiations, and help coordinate follow-up items with internal and external partners.
- Maintain deal files, distribute completed documents, upload and file materials, and update document management systems.
- Create clear summaries of closed deal terms and maintain accurate databases, charts, reports, and tracking tools.
- Assist with legal document preparation, redlines, correspondence, execution, and distribution of agreements.
- Monitor key dates of legal significance, including option expirations and other contract-related deadlines. Compensation and Benefits

$25 per hour.Schedule:
Part-time, 20 to 22 hours per week.Shift:

Provided. Required Qualifications and Skills- Support business affairs deal flow for development, production, talent, and rights acquisition agreements.
- Track negotiations, maintain deal files, and prepare summaries of closed deal terms.
- Assist with legal documents, redlines, correspondence, execution, and distribution.
- Maintain databases, reports, calendars, and key legal date tracking.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant legal, business affairs, entertainment, or administrative support experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Familiarity with entertainment contracts and a strong interest in business affairs.
- Working knowledge of the television industry landscape and intellectual property deal structures.
- Strong written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Strong reasoning skills, problem-solving ability, and a solution-oriented approach.
- High level of integrity, discretion, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Positive, flexible, collegial attitude with a willingness to take ownership and support team needs.
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Preferred Qualifications
- JD degree strongly preferred.
- Experience with entertainment business affairs, studio legal support, or contract administration.
- Exposure to development agreements, production agreements, talent agreements, or rights acquisition agreements.
- Experience with DocuSign, DropBox, and AirTable.
