Job Description
Position Summary Performs clerical tasks for the Center Care Credentialing Program, as assigned by the Lead Credentialing Specialist, including the following: data entry, filing, typing, copying, faxing, and basic entry level credentialing tasks. Minimum Qualifications Work Experience Two years of clerical/administrative support experience, preferably in healthcare credentialing, healthcare administration, insurance administration, or in a legal setting required. Education Associate's degree in related field (OR) equivalent work experience required. Certifications/Licensure None Job Specific Performance Standards The duties listed below are a summary of the major essential functions of this position. The position may require other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned, and specific functions may change from time to time. Prepares new application folders and arranges documents in preparation for the credentialing process. Enters initial credentialing data and re-credentialing data updates, as assigned. Prepares and/or assists with preparation of miscellaneous correspondence, provides general clerical support, and assists with departmental mailings. Pulls and re-files provider credentialing folders and maintains the integrity of the Credentialing Department file room. Develops and maintains current working knowledge of NCQA credentialing standards as applicable to work assignments.
