Commission-based Position Summary As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, you will use your lived experience and professional training to mentor, advocate, and guide individuals in recovery while fostering independence and community connection. Key Responsibilities Provide monthly in-person and/or weekly phone/text support for recovery. Connect individuals to recovery and community resources. Maintain supportive, professional relationships. Document services accurately and ensure HIPAA compliance. Follow the Peer Support Code of Ethics. Collaborate with care coordinators on participant progress. Attend monthly peer support supervision meetings. Participate in clinical staffing as needed. Required Qualifications North Dakota Certified Peer Support Specialist (or ability to obtain). Lived experience in recovery (personal and/or family). Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Preferred Qualifications Experience providing peer support Core Competencies Empathy, trust-building, and authentic peer connection. Professionalism, ethics, and maintaining boundaries. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Competence in documentation, time management, and organizational skills. Work Environment Flexible schedule; remote work.
