Job Description

Description We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our Irvine office is looking for a Legal Support Specialist to join our growing team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will provide overall administrative-level support to the practice group in support of unlawful detainer cases filed.

Compensation:
$23-$28/hour DOE + benefits
Responsibilities:
Provide overall administrative-level support to the practice group Contact clients via phone and email to obtain missing documents Perform e-filing in support of unlawful detainer cases Draft notices, letters, and stipulations for unlawful detainer cases Make calls to court for processing of trial matters Request trial dates and prepare files for trial Review leases, legal forms, and correspondence for detail-oriented, specific information Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and follow up on the status of cases Assist with case intake by performing data entry with a high level of accuracy Sort and distribute mail, and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: Previous administrative office experience in a high-volume environment Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task Professional communication skills via telephone and email Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Typing speed of 65+ wpm and versatile computer skills Must provide writing samples showcasing writing style The following qualifications are preferred: Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent training/experience Previous experience working in a law firm or legal environment ProLaw experience
Schedule:
Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday. We currently offer a hybrid work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.
