Fee Approval Specialist - Litigation Mackie Wolf Zientz Mann - 4.3 Houston, TX Job Details 15 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Customer service Direct client contact Customer support Full Job Description Summary/Objective Responsible for a broad range of duties generally of a diverse and complex nature required in providing administrative and accounting support to division/department director, associate attorneys and staff, and presenting a professional image when representing the company in interactions with guests, vendors, clients, and employees. Essential Functions 1. Performs a variety of complex administrative and accounting duties to assist the Litigation Department for all flat-fee, billable and non-billable cases. 2. May review and process interim billing, assuring proper approvals and accuracy of invoice data to the client. Also, may perform required functions to assure payments are submitted promptly and proper accounting records are maintained in adherence with client billing timelines. 3. Communicate with the client on the attorney fees and provide description of additional hours needed for the attorney to proceed. 4. Communicates with clients, vendors, employees, and other departments both verbally and in writing providing case updates as needed within timelines. 5. Completes metric reporting at least weekly. 6. Achieves monthly litigation fee approval team goals. 7. Performs additional duties as requested.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
1. HSD or equivalent 2. Minimum two years of professional / executive level administrative support. 3. Experience in basic accounting processes preferred (A/R, A/P, audits, etc.) 4. Experience in litigation and/or mortgage servicing litigation a plus. 5. Minimum two years of heavy client/customer support. 6. Proficient in MS Word, Excel. 7. Advanced communication skills (verbal and written).
