When someone's worst day becomes your first priority, professionalism matters. When a homeowner experiences a major property loss, the first professional they meet often becomes the one they remember most. That someone is you. You understand that your job isn't to have every answer. It's to provide confidence before answers exist. You know how to listen before speaking, assess a situation without becoming overwhelmed, and help people regain a sense of control during one of the most stressful moments of their lives. You recognize that the first hour after a loss often determines how the entire client experience unfolds. Every interaction, every decision, and every promise matters. Our First Response Consultants are the first professionals homeowners meet after a significant property loss. They respond to emergency calls, assess conditions, coordinate immediate needs, document the scene, and prepare homeowners for the next phase of the restoration process through a seamless transition to the Loss Consultant team.
YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU
Remain composed when others are overwhelmed. Naturally put people at ease through empathy, confidence, and genuine concern. Can quickly evaluate changing situations and make sound decisions without constant supervision. Know how to communicate clearly without overexplaining or making promises you cannot keep. Take pride in doing the little things right because details matter during a crisis. Enjoy working independently while remaining closely connected to your team. Treat punctuality, responsiveness, and follow-through as professional obligations—not optional qualities. Find satisfaction in helping people regain a sense of stability during life's unexpected moments.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Be among the first professionals dispatched following residential and commercial property-loss events. Respond quickly and safely to active loss scenes throughout your assigned territory. Assess conditions, determine the appropriate course of action, and coordinate immediate emergency services. Provide compassionate support while helping homeowners navigate their immediate concerns regarding safety, access, shelter, and property protection. Obtain emergency work authorization before mitigation begins. Complete accurate scene documentation, photographs, and digital reporting before leaving each assignment. Coordinate property security and communicate important information regarding board-up status, access, and next steps. Schedule and prepare homeowners for the Second Day Appointment with the assigned Loss Consultant. Attend the Second Day Appointment, introduce the Loss Consultant in person, and ensure a professional transition of responsibility. Represent the organization's standards of professionalism, responsiveness, integrity, and client care during every interaction. This is not a sales position. It is an opportunity to become the trusted professional homeowners remember because of how you made them feel during one of the most difficult days of their lives. If you're energized by helping people under pressure, enjoy working in the field, make sound decisions and believe that compassion and professionalism belong together, you'll find purpose in this role. This full-time, field-based position requires participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation, a valid California driver's license with a clean driving record, the ability to work safely in active loss environments, excellent communication skills, and the emotional maturity to remain calm when others need you most.
