Full-Time Conversion Overview:

A leading national distribution and logistics organization is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to support security, asset protection, and operational loss prevention efforts within a high-volume distribution center environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy investigations, security operations, surveillance, and maintaining a safe workplace. The Loss Prevention Specialist will work closely with site leadership to protect company assets, reduce shrink, monitor facility activity, and support internal investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

Protect company assets, including employees, inventory, equipment, property, and confidential information Monitor shipping and receiving operations, trailer yard activity, facility access points, parking lots, and other critical areas Observe and document vehicle and trailer movement entering and exiting the facility Monitor merchandise flow throughout the distribution center Conduct CCTV surveillance and investigate suspicious or potentially dishonest activity Assist with internal investigations and shortage analysis Support loss prevention initiatives designed to reduce operational shrink Ensure compliance with established safety, security, and fire prevention procedures Verify incoming and outgoing trailer activity and maintain accurate records Respond professionally and appropriately to incidents and security concerns Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations

Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities Basic computer proficiency Strong attention to detail and observational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous loss prevention, security, warehouse security, asset protection, military, law enforcement, or investigative experience Coursework or degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Security Management, or related field Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment
