Company Introduction:

T&T Supermarkets is marking over 30 years as Canada's favorite Asian grocery store and recently announced multiple new store locations in the United States. The Asset Protection Representative is responsible for helping maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, vendors, and company property. This role monitors store activities, responds to security and safety concerns, helps prevent loss, and reports incidents in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. The Asset Protection Representative works closely with store management and, when appropriate, local law enforcement and emergency responders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patrol assigned store areas, parking lots, and surrounding premises to help maintain a safe and secure environment. Monitor customer and employee activity to help prevent theft, fraud, vandalism, trespassing, and other security concerns. Observe and document suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations, and promptly report incidents to store management. Respond appropriately to emergencies, including medical incidents, disturbances, and fire or safety alarms, following company procedures. Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, or other authorities when necessary. Conduct preliminary internal investigations related to inventory loss, policy violations, or other security concerns in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Prepare accurate and timely incident reports and maintain required documentation. Monitor and operate CCTV and other security systems to identify security risks and support investigations. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas. Escort unauthorized individuals from company premises when appropriate and in accordance with company policy and applicable law. Participate in store safety inspections, asset protection initiatives, and operational audits as assigned. Build positive working relationships with store leadership and team members by promoting security awareness and loss prevention best practices. Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional, courteous, and approachable presence. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) required, or the ability to obtain one before employment, if required by the position. Previous experience in retail security, loss prevention, asset protection, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferred. Working knowledge of CCTV, surveillance systems, and Microsoft Office applications is preferred. Strong observation, communication, conflict resolution, and report-writing skills. Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in stressful or emergency situations. Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, discretion, and good customer service skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday. Ability to patrol indoor and outdoor areas in varying weather conditions. Frequently bend, stoop, reach, and climb stairs. Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations.
