Security Gate Attendant (1st and 2nd Shift) - Morton Grove, IL STS Security, Inc. is currently hiring a Security Gate Attendant for a client site in Long Grove, IL . We are looking for a dependable, professional, and customer-service-oriented individual who can maintain a secure environment while providing exceptional service to employees, visitors, and vendors. Job Responsibilities Control access to the property by verifying employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors. Monitor all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering and exiting the facility. Operate gate access systems and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle logs. Verify identification and authorize entry according to site procedures. Monitor and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or emergencies. Complete daily activity logs and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and management. Respond to incidents in accordance with company and client policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional gatehouse. Qualifications Active Illinois PERC Card (Required) 20-Hour Security Training Certificate (Required) High School Diploma or GED Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and sound judgment Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Previous security or gate attendant experience is preferred but not required Technology Requirements Applicants must be comfortable using and learning security technology, including: Tablets Two-way radios Physical Requirements Ability to stand and sit for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to remain alert and focused while monitoring gate activity. Ability to walk short distances around the property as needed. Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull more than 20 pounds when necessary. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform routine physical tasks.
