Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Unarmed Security Loss Prevention Gate Attendant to join our team during 1st and 2nd shifts. In this role, you will serve as the first line of defense in safeguarding retail assets, preventing theft, and ensuring a safe environment for staff and customers alike. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting surveillance, and collaborating with internal teams to uphold security protocols. Responsibilities Manage access control by verifying the identity of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at entry gates using security systems and identification procedures Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor store activity and detect suspicious behavior or potential theft Perform internal investigations related to retail security incidents, applying interrogation techniques and criminal investigation methods as needed Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and intervening in suspicious activities while maintaining a professional demeanor Collaborate with store management and law enforcement agencies during incidents involving theft or security breaches Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation with clarity and accuracy Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while handling internal communications effectively Skills Strong knowledge of conflict management techniques Proven ability to investigate retail security issues through store security investigation experience and interrogation techniques Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail for documenting incidents accurately Customer service orientation combined with the ability to handle conflict professionally in high-pressure situations Physical security awareness including monitoring premises for safety hazards or unauthorized access Effective internal communication skills for coordinating with team members and management seamlessly Must have an Active Unarmed Security license (PERC) and 20hr Training Certificate.
