JOB SUMMARY

Requirements:
Must work weekends. Patrol outdoors, on-foot, for hours at a time, in all weather conditions You'll serve as a visible, uniformed presence in your assigned zone — deterring unwanted behavior, engaging with the community, and keeping the area safe and welcoming for everyone who lives, works, and visits. This is an active, outdoor role where your presence alone makes a difference every shift.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Patrol & Safety Conduct foot patrols through your assigned zone, maintaining a high-visibility presence to deter unwanted behavior Observe and report suspicious activity, quality-of-life infractions, and criminal behavior to local law enforcement and your supervisor Respond to and document incidents involving trespassing, loitering, public intoxication, panhandling, and similar situations Maintain working knowledge of local ordinances related to quality-of-life issues Remain alert and exercise sound judgment in unpredictable or high-stress situations Community & Reporting Greet pedestrians, offer directions, and assist visitors, residents, and workers Interact respectfully with unhoused individuals and connect them with available local resources when appropriate Document and report incidents, observations, and completed tasks using a smartphone and two-way radio Assist cleaning ambassadors with light cleaning tasks as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We hire for professionalism, integrity, and attitude. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field and knows how to de-escalate tense situations with calm, confident communication. If you're dependable, approachable, and can keep your composure when it matters most, we want to hear from you. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in security, loss prevention, law enforcement, or military Demonstrated ability to de-escalate confrontational or high-stress situations High school diploma or GED Physical ability to walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift with breaks in accordance with local laws Lift up to 25 lbs Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions Basic smartphone proficiency Must be at least 18 years of age Candidates must undergo a background check and drug screening prior to employment Preferred (not required) Customer service or hospitality experience Valid driver's license
