100% On-Site Position Overview C3 Rentals is seeking an experienced Skip Tracing & Repossessions Specialist to join our Asset Protection Department. This position serves as a critical link between investigative research and field repossession operations. The primary responsibility is to conduct investigative research to locate defaulted C3 rental trailers associated with active repossession accounts and turn that research into accurate, actionable intelligence for our field recovery network. This role goes beyond traditional skip tracing. You will research and validate potential trailer locations, analyze LPR and other investigative data, work active repossession accounts, determine appropriate recovery territories, assign accounts to recovery agents, and coordinate directly with our field recovery network. We're looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who enjoys conducting complex investigations, identifying patterns and discrepancies, gathering critical facts, and turning information into measurable recovery results. This is a fast-paced position combining skip tracing, investigative research, data analysis, technology, repossession management, territory assignment, routing, and real-time field coordination. Core Responsibilities  Conduct comprehensive skip tracing and investigative research on active rental trailer repossession accounts.  Utilize credit-header information, public records, court records, proprietary databases, and people/vehicle location tools to develop potential leads.  Research and analyze address histories, phone numbers, related parties, businesses, vehicle associations, public records, and other available information.  Gather, analyze, and validate critical facts to determine the most probable location of defaulted rental trailers.  Identify patterns, conflicting information, discrepancies, suspicious activity, and potential fraud indicators that may require additional investigation.  Utilize License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology and other vehicle/people location tools to develop and validate recovery leads.  Utilize Recovery Database Network (RDN) and other recovery-management platforms to manage active repossession assignments and communicate with recovery agents.  Review Salesforce account activity, notes, customer information, and available documentation to support investigative research and recovery decisions.  Assign repossession accounts to the appropriate agent zones and geographic territories.  Route actionable accounts to field agents based on geographic location, agent coverage, operational priorities, and recovery probability.  Coordinate directly with field recovery agents regarding target locations, investigative findings, new intelligence, and account activity.  Monitor active repossession accounts for new leads, LPR activity, address changes, database updates, field-agent findings, and other developing intelligence.  Reevaluate unsuccessful recovery attempts and determine whether accounts should be rerouted, reassigned, or expanded into additional territories.  Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely investigative notes and case documentation.  Escalate significant discrepancies, suspected fraud indicators, or other investigative findings to Asset Protection leadership when appropriate.  Help maximize field-agent eƯiciency by directing repossession activity toward the highest-probability trailer locations and strongest available intelligence. What You'll Bring  Previous auto finance collections, repossession, recovery, or skip-tracing experience is required.  Experience working with non-prime portfolios and complex repossession/recovery accounts.  Strong understanding of repossession, recovery, reinstatement, and deficiency processes.  Demonstrated ability to locate and engage difficult-to-reach customers and develop actionable location intelligence.  A highly analytical and detail-oriented investigative mindset with the ability to connect information across multiple data sources.  Ability to identify patterns, inconsistencies, discrepancies, and potential fraud indicators during account research.  EƯective communication, negotiation, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.  Experience using skip-tracing databases, License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology, dialers, recovery platforms, and loan-servicing systems.  Previous hands-on experience with Recovery Database Network (RDN) is strongly preferred; Salesforce experience is a plus.  Ability to eƯectively use recovery-management systems to review account activity, document investigative findings, manage repossession assignments, assign agent zones and territories, and communicate actionable intelligence to field recovery agents.  Ability to prioritize accounts based on location intelligence, recovery probability, operational urgency, and field-agent coverage.  Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active investigations and repossession accounts simultaneously.  Ability to work eƯectively in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment with established performance standards and measurable recovery objectives.  Ability to accurately document investigative activity, account findings, leads, and routing decisions.  Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. A successful Skip Tracing & Repossessions Specialist will consistently:  Develop credible and actionable locations for defaulted rental trailers.  Identify new addresses, associations, LPR activity, and other meaningful recovery leads.  Distinguish strong investigative intelligence from outdated or unreliable information.  Identify discrepancies or potential fraud indicators requiring additional investigation.  Assign repossession accounts to the appropriate recovery zones and territories.  Route accounts to field agents who are best positioned to act on the intelligence.  Reduce unnecessary field-agent travel and unproductive address checks.  Quickly communicate time-sensitive information when recovery opportunities develop.  Maintain accurate and thorough investigative documentation.  Contribute to increased trailer recoveries through eƯective research, analysis, routing, and field coordination. Schedule & Work Location Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM This is a 100% on-site position and requires in-person attendance five days per week. This position is not remote or hybrid. Because this role involves real-time investigative research, repossession routing, agentzone assignments, and direct coordination with the field recovery network, consistent onsite attendance is an essential part of the position. The Skip Tracing & Repossessions Specialist serves as a critical connection between investigative intelligence and field repossession operations. The information developed in this position directly influences where our recovery agents work, which accounts receive priority, and how eƯiciently defaulted rental trailers are located and recovered.
