Job Description
Overview The Loss Prevention Investigator is responsible for protecting company assets and minimizing loss across the park. This role involves identifying, investigating, and resolving suspicious activity, as well as apprehending individuals involved in theft or policy violations. The ideal candidate maintains a high level of discretion while supporting a safe and secure environment for guests and associates. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate suspicious activity throughout the park
- Conduct audits of locations and employees to identify procedural gaps and improve compliance
- Recommend solutions to reduce financial loss and strengthen controls
- Monitor CCTV systems and register activity to ensure adherence to company policies
- Perform covert surveillance in areas vulnerable to theft or loss
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in all investigations
- Document and log detailed reports of incidents and investigative findings
- Collect, review, and analyze accounting and operational data to identify loss trends
- Conduct employee interviews related to policy violations or discrepancies
- Support asset protection and inventory control initiatives
- Perform sting operations and electronic surveillance to prevent theft
- Investigate cases involving monitoring cash acceptance, credit card fraud, other cash accepting apps, and methods
- Complete required reports, documentation, and administrative duties accurately
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Loss Prevention Manager Qualifications Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Full availability, including days, nights, weekends, and most holidays
- Ability to work opening and/or closing shifts (up to 8-hour shifts preferred)
- Flexibility to work limited hours during spring, fall, winter seasons
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Capable lifting to 25 lbs.
- Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check (including criminal and credit history)
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred
- Previous Loss Prevention or security experience preferred
- Commitment to providing excellent support to guests and fellow team members
