Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Warehouse Asset Protection Officer to safeguard our distribution center's assets, personnel, and operations. In this dynamic role, you will oversee security protocols, monitor surveillance systems, and investigate potential threats or thefts. Your expertise in law enforcement, security systems, and retail security investigation will be essential to maintaining a safe and secure environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead loss prevention initiatives, ensure compliance with legal standards, and support a culture of safety across our warehouse operations. Duties Manage access control by authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and carriers while verifying credentials and documentation. Conduct comprehensive surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity within the facility and surrounding yard areas. Investigate incidents of theft, vandalism, or security breaches through interviews, evidence collection, and surveillance review. Enforce physical security measures such as patrols, fence checks, and emergency response protocols to prevent unauthorized access or damage. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during criminal investigations related to warehouse security issues. Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents, investigations, and security audits with clarity and accuracy. Handle confidential information responsibly while ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements related to search and seizure laws. Skills Strong background in law enforcement or criminal investigation techniques with knowledge of criminal law and search and seizure laws. Proficiency in operating CCTV systems, security alarms, access control systems, and other security technology. Excellent internal communication skills for effective coordination with team members and management. Customer service orientation combined with conflict management skills to handle sensitive situations professionally. Experience in retail store security investigations, loss prevention strategies, and retail environment familiarity. Ability to lead a team in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail during investigations. Knowledge of physical security practices including patrol procedures, perimeter checks, and emergency response planning.
