Job Description

Position Summary Responsible for the administration and coordination of Worker's Compensation claims, OSHA compliance programs, and annual safety training programs. This position provides support to the Loss Control Department in providing information for mitigating lawsuits and maintaining such files, including employee safety records and data. Working Conditions General office and sedentary with field work . Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer, and photocopier . R epetitive motions, multi-tasking, sitting, standing, walking, speaking, listening, ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 20 pounds . Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events . May be required to work after hours including weekends and holidays. Essential Functions Maintain and administer safety, compliance, and personnel records, including accident reports, workers' compensation, OSHA injury and illness documentation, DOT driver files, safety accreditation records, and other required regulatory documentation Coordinate and support Cooperative safety programs by organizing training, new hire safety orientation, safety meetings, hazard communication initiatives, employee safety equipment and uniform programs, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing Provide administrative and clerical support to the Loss Control function by preparing correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, maintaining files, responding to inquiries, and performing general office duties Manage safety-related claims, investigations, and compliance activities by assisting with accident investigations, administering workers' compensation and general liability claims, maintaining litigation records, and coordinating with insurance carriers, attorneys, and regulatory agencies Research, procure , and maintain inventories of safety supplies, equipment, and employee safety programs while supporting compliance with Cooperative safety policies and observing all established safety rules and procedures Follows safety regulations Performs other duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned
