Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development Supervise and mentor paralegal team, fostering responsible work habits and professional growth Conduct weekly team meetings to review case loads and address challenges with honest assessment Provide ongoing training on legal procedures, software systems, and firm protocols Evaluate paralegal performance and provide constructive communication for improvement Collaborate with HR on recruiting qualified paralegal candidates who embody firm values Establish and maintain quality control standards across all paralegal work product Case Management & Oversight Oversee case progression from initial intake through resolution, ensuring responsible timeline management Review and approve all paralegal-prepared documents for accuracy and completeness with integrity Coordinate with attorneys on case strategy and ensure honest status reporting to clients Manage case filing deadlines and court appearances with responsible scheduling protocols Ensure clear communication between paralegal team and attorneys regarding case developments Implement and maintain case management systems for optimal efficiency Client Relations & Communication Oversee client intake process, ensuring honest explanation of services and fees Manage client communication standards, emphasizing integrity in all interactions Handle escalated client concerns with responsible problem-solving approach Ensure timely and accurate communication of case updates to clients Review client correspondence for consistency with firm standards and values Administrative Excellence Maintain compliance with legal ethical standards and firm policies Oversee document management systems and ensure responsible record-keeping Coordinate with billing department to ensure honest and accurate time tracking Prepare reports for management on team productivity and case status Identify process improvements and implement solutions with responsible change management Qualifications Paralegal certificate or equivalent education with 5+ years of experience in legal environment Minimum 2 years in a paralegal role Comprehensive knowledge of legal procedures, court filings, and case management systems Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail Strong leadership and mentoring abilities Proficient in legal software and case management systems Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) preferredBenefits:
