Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Coordinator / Legal Administrative Assistant to support our tax resolution practice. This role is central to maintaining efficient office operations, managing team schedules, assisting with client intake, and providing direct administrative and organizational support to the tax attorney. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient, and confident in helping keep both the team and attorney on track in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate calendars for team members, with a primary focus on the tax attorney's schedule, ensuring deadlines, meetings, and client commitments are met.
- Proactively assist the tax attorney in staying on task, including tracking priorities, deadlines, and follow-ups.
- Maintain and update client notes and case files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Answer incoming calls and communicate professionally with prospective tax court and tax resolution clients.
- Assist with client intake, including gathering initial information and routing inquiries appropriately.
- Conduct legal and tax-related research as directed by the tax attorney.
- Provide administrative support, including document preparation, file organization, and case tracking.
- Help maintain workflow systems to ensure cases progress efficiently and nothing falls through the cracks.
- Coordinate internal communications and follow-ups across the team.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting an attorney in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and strong client service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office software; experience with legal or tax software is a plus.
- Prior administrative, legal assistant, or tax office experience preferred.

Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
