Operating under a modern family wealth planning model, our office culture is warm, down-to-earth, and committed to excellence. We believe in high standards, genuine kindness, and giving every team member the ownership and autonomy to excel without someone looking over their shoulder. About You You are the kind of person who double-checks the small details because you know they matter down the road. You love the deep focus of document drafting and organization, and you'd rather perfect a trust agreement or a complex deed than answer endless small talk. If you want a stable, high-level role where your precision directly protects families and frees up our team to scale, this is your seat. About This Role As our in-house Legal Assistant, you will become the engine room of our legal production. You are stepping into an established, thriving practice to completely own our document drafting and the critical Client Intake & Milestone Integration process. Because our current team member is transitioning full-time into trust administration, you will take over the reins of document production: drafting trusts, wills, ancillaries, and deeds, handling amendments, and managing the meticulous review, assembly, printing, and scanning of our client binders. This is a behind-the-scenes, high-focus role for someone who takes immense pride in error-free execution. What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Complete the
Client Intake Process:
Own and execute our internal tracking and milestone integration process seamlessly from engagement to binder delivery.
    In-House Legal Drafting:
Accurately draft comprehensive estate planning documents including trusts, wills, advance healthcare directives, powers of attorney, and complex deeds.
      Draft Amendments & Restatements:
Prepare precise trust amendments and restatements based on attorney markups and client updates.
        Comprehensive Binder Reviews:
Conduct thorough quality control reviews of completed estate planning packages prior to client delivery.
          Physical & Digital Assembly:
Print, scan, organize, and assemble immaculate physical client binders and digital repositories.
            Cross-Department Support:
Partner cleanly with our Client Services Director and Trust Administration team to ensure a frictionless transition for every client. Who This Is For
              Detail-Obsessed:
You spot a typo or a missing signature page from a mile away and it drives you nuts until it's fixed.
                Autonomous & Systematic:
You prefer a clear roadmap, need minimal supervision, and take complete ownership of your task list.
                  Direct & Resilient:
You appreciate clear, straightforward feedback and a direct communication style.
                    Systems-Minded:
You love taking a process and making it cleaner, faster, and more accurate over time. Who This Is NOT For
                    • Someone who needs constant oversight: If you need someone to check your work every step of the way or tell you what to do next, you will struggle here.
                    • An extrovert looking for a front-facing role: This position is primarily behind-the-scenes focused on drafting and execution, not continuous human interaction.
                    • Someone who is easily flustered by direct feedback: We value kindness and collaboration, but we speak directly and expect you to handle critique without taking it personally.
                    Experience:
                    • 3+ years of substantive estate planning experience
                    • Hands-on drafting experience, not merely administrative exposure. Experience drafting Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advance Health Care Directives, Trust Amendments, and Deeds
                    • Experience drafting in Wealth Council is strongly preferred, but not required
                    • Experience taking an attorney's planning notes and turning them into a complete first draft
                    • Experience with document review and quality control—names, dates, fiduciaries, distribution provisions, schedules, signature blocks, exhibits, deeds, consistency across the entire plan.
                    • Experience managing a high-volume caseload or document-production pipeline
                    • Strong knowledge of California deed preparation and recording requirements strongly preferred but not required Compensation & Details
