PARALEGAL - EL SEGUNDO, CA
Skyryse is looking for a highly organized, proactive Corporate Paralegal to help build our legal function alongside our experienced VP, General Counsel. You will design the legal infrastructure for a fast-growing aviation tech company and help support the Legal Department's day-to-day work: corporate governance, commercial contracts, and the regulatory and asset records unique to an aviation company. You will operate with an important presence as the department's on-site resource in El Segundo, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain corporate records, entity information, board and stockholder materials, approvals, signatures, annual filings, and related legal files. Draft, review, proofread, and format routine contracts and legal documents under attorney direction, including nondisclosure agreements, corporate resolutions, and other commercial or operational agreements. Own contract and document management end to end: intake, naming conventions, filing organization, and maintenance of organized contract and legal repositories. Maintain state and local licensing files and complete foreign qualifications and registrations accurately and on time. Support transactional matters as requested, including M&A and financing due diligence and contract negotiation support. Design, implement, and improve legal department processes, including templates, trackers, checklists, standard operating procedures, matter tracking, document retention, and legal request management. Support intellectual property matters as requested, including trademark applications and upkeep of IP assignment and confidentiality records. Process and manage outside counsel and legal vendor invoices, and help the General Counsel track legal spend against budget. Conduct legal and factual research under attorney direction. Provide limited administrative support for the General Counsel and CEO as needed, including meeting preparation, investor event coordination, and tech tools and software support. Support other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 5+ years of paralegal, legal operations, contracts, corporate governance, or comparable legal support experience. Hands-on comfort with contract lifecycle management tools, e-signature platforms, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, document management systems, and other common office and legal tech tools. Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential information. Service-oriented, business-partner mindset and approach to internal support, with the judgment to balance legal, business, and operational priorities in a fast-moving environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior in-house legal department experience. Experience in a startup, technology company, aviation company, or other high-growth environment. Knowledge of aerospace regulations, aircraft ownership and registration, or related aviation legal matters. Practical experience with legal AI tools (including Spellbook), whether for contract review, legal research, or document automation, and eagerness to help us put the right tools to work as we build the function. Notary public commission, or willingness to become a notary.

Salary Range:
$90,000 - $120,000 depending on experience. Valuable stock option plan. Heavily subsidized medical, dental and vision plans. Full-time employees are eligible for 20 days of paid time off (PTO) and 5 sick days annually. PTO and sick days must be used in accordance with Company policy.
