Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our client, a busy legal team handling a high volume of litigation-related work in California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and professionalism. The role focuses on preparing court documents, coordinating filings, and maintaining critical case calendars while providing dependable litigation support.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, organize, and finalize motions and other litigation documents for attorney review and court submission.

Create and update tables of contents and tables of authorities to ensure filings are complete, accurate, and compliant.

Manage electronic court filings and related submissions in accordance with applicable jurisdictional rules and deadlines.

Maintain attorney calendars by tracking hearings, filing dates, response deadlines, and other case milestones.

Support active litigation matters by coordinating documentation, monitoring case activity, and helping keep files current.

Review court requirements and procedural rules to help ensure documents are filed correctly and on time.

Assist with administrative legal tasks connected to ongoing casework, billing support, and document handling using standard office software and legal tools.
