Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join a growing litigation team in California in a contract-to-hire position. This on-site opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a deadline-driven legal environment and can support attorneys through every stage of case development and trial readiness. The role focuses on case coordination, document preparation, client interaction, and litigation support for complex plaintiff-side matters.
Responsibilities:
Support attorneys throughout the life cycle of litigation, from initial case activity through trial preparation and courtroom readiness.

Prepare and revise legal documents such as pleadings, written correspondence, discovery materials, authorizations, and other case-related filings.

Manage filing activities for complaints and summonses while coordinating with outside providers to complete service of process accurately and on time.

Organize and track discovery requests and responses, helping ensure deadlines, documentation, and case details remain current.

Schedule depositions and related case events, working closely with counsel, clients, experts, vendors, and court personnel.

Maintain case calendars, monitor file progress, and communicate timely updates regarding matter status and upcoming deadlines.

Conduct legal and procedural research using internal resources and online tools, including review of court rules and filing requirements.

Assist with trial preparation by assembling exhibits, creating trial binders, and coordinating logistics with experts, opposing counsel, and court staff.
