As a proud immigrant-owned and LGBT-owned firm — and staunch champions for women's rights and underrepresented communities — we understand exactly what's at stake when someone's future is on the line. We don't just process cases. We fight to keep families together and protect the people who need it most. We're looking for a senior EOIR paralegal who shares that mission and wants to grow with a firm that celebrates diversity, equity, and relentless advocacy. The Role This is a senior-level removal defense role for a paralegal who can own a caseload from intake through completion with minimal hand-holding. You'll be a linchpin of our EOIR practice — drafting, organizing, and keeping complex cases moving while attorneys focus on strategy and the courtroom. If you know your way around Immigration Court deadlines and take pride in a clean, hearing-ready file, this is your kind of job. What you'll do Manage an assigned EOIR caseload from intake through completion, keeping case files and case management records accurate and current in Cerenade (eIMMIGRATION) Monitor Immigration Court, BIA, USCIS, and internal deadlines to ensure timely filings and steady case progression Draft routine motions for attorney review — Motions to Continue, Change Venue, Substitute Counsel, Withdraw, Recalendar, Terminate, Sever, Consolidate, Reopen, Reconsider, and Motions to Appear via WebEx or Telephone Assist with asylum, adjustment of status, bond, Cancellation of Removal (42A and 42B), family-based, and other filings assigned by the supervising attorney Gather, review, and organize supporting evidence, declarations, translations, and exhibits for hearings and filings Prepare hearing binders, exhibit packets, and filing packages in compliance with EOIR paper/ECAS and USCIS requirements Communicate with clients, Immigration Courts, USCIS, ICE, the BIA, and other agencies on assigned matters Support attorneys with litigation and immigration-related duties as assigned What we're looking for Proven paralegal experience with a strict focus on immigration law, especially EOIR/removal defense — enough that you can run a caseload independently Strong knowledge of immigration procedures, forms, and agencies (EOIR, USCIS, ICE, OPLA, BIA) Hands-on experience with Cerenade (eIMMIGRATION); familiarity with Westlaw or LexisNexis a plus Excellent legal writing and drafting, sharp organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple cases under tight deadlines Fluency in English and Spanish (required) A genuine passion for advocating for immigrant, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized communities
