Legal Assistant
Job Description
Description One of our top law firm clients is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its growing Irvine office. This is a highly regarded boutique firm with a collaborative, team-oriented culture and a sophisticated practice spanning business litigation, transactions, employment, and personal injury. The firm continues to grow and is looking for a Legal Assistant who enjoys being an integral part of the legal team and can confidently manage the day-to-day demands of a busy civil litigation practice. Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage litigation calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, filing dates, and other critical case deadlines
+ Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
+ Handle state and federal court filings, including electronic filings, while ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and deadlines
+ Support attorneys throughout all phases of civil litigation and assist with day-to-day case management
+ Coordinate and organize case materials, discovery, and litigation documents
+ Maintain accurate and well-organized electronic and physical case files
+ Assist with attorney scheduling, correspondence, and administrative workflow
+ Provide overflow support to attorneys and other members of the legal team as needed
+ Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff in a team-oriented, onsite environment
Ideal Candidate:
+ Prior experience supporting attorneys in a civil litigation practice
+ Strong knowledge of California court procedures, calendaring, and e-filing
+ Excellent proofreading, formatting, and organizational skills
+ Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
+ Detail-oriented, dependable, proactive, and collaborative
+ Interested in continuing to develop their skills and grow within the firm

- At least 3 years of experience supporting civil litigation matters in a legal assistant or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience with electronic court filing procedures and court submission requirements.
- Strong ability to manage calendars and monitor deadlines across multiple active cases.
- Proficiency in preparing, formatting, and organizing legal documents with close attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of court filings, litigation support processes, and related legal administrative tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities within a 40-hour work week.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to teamwork.
