We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and bilingual Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior legal experience, preferably in family law, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who communicates professionally, takes initiative, works well with others, and takes pride in their work. As a member of our team, you will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, clients, courts, and opposing counsel. You will provide administrative and case support, help maintain organized files and calendars, and assist in ensuring that each matter is handled efficiently, accurately, and professionally. Responsibilities Prepare, format, file, and serve legal documents Draft correspondence, memoranda, and client communications Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical case files Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other professionals Calendar hearings, filing deadlines, appointments, and meetings Assist with hearing and trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, pleadings, and court filings Enter attorney and staff time and expenses Answer phones, schedule appointments, scan documents, and complete data entry Follow court rules, filing requirements, and internal firm procedures Provide administrative and case support to attorneys and paralegals Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion Experience At least one year of administrative experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate Prior experience in a law firm or family law practice is helpful but not required Bilingual in English and Spanish is required Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff Professional demeanor, sound judgment, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service Experience with Clio or similar legal technology platforms is preferred At Castro Law Offices, we believe exceptional client service begins with a dedicated and supported team.
