A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Responsibilities:
File with State and Federal Courts Legal administrative duties Edit and finalize litigation documents Calendar court dates and deadlines Maintain attorney's schedules Prepare correspondence Expense reporting
Qualifications:
Must be available between hours 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday Minimum of 3 years' civil litigation experience Knowledge and experience with state and federal filings Proficient in Office 365 (Outlook and Word), calendaring/docketing Excellent organizational skills Exceptional written/verbal communication skills to communicate with attorneys, staff, and clients The ideal candidate must have civil litigation defense experience, be organized, detail oriented, and a team player.
