Job Description

Legal Assistant/ Records Coordinator

Roseville, CA Temporary $28.00 - $35.00/hr Onsite Job Description A boutique law firm focused on Environmental, Natural Resources, Land Use, and business matters, is seeking a Legal Assistant / Records Coordinator to join the team. This role is ideal for a legal professional who enjoys both litigation support and transactional work, including court filings, deadline management, county recordings, records coordination, and case administration. No two days are the same, and the successful candidate will become a key resource supporting the entire office.

Responsibilities

Support attorneys with litigation and case management activities, including calendaring court deadlines, tracking statutes and filing deadlines, preparing e-filings, and maintaining case files.

Prepare, organize, and process legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.

Handle county recordings and transactional filings, ensuring documents are accurately prepared, submitted, tracked, and recorded.

Manage electronic and physical records, including document retrieval, records requests, and file maintenance.

Coordinate and maintain case and records information within firm systems and databases.

Assist with document production, discovery organization, and other litigation support functions as needed.

Communicate professionally with clients, courts, government agencies, county recorder offices, and outside stakeholders.

Provide administrative support to attorneys and staff across the firm's environmental, mining, natural resources, land use, and business law matters.

Qualifications

2+ years of litigation legal assistant, records management, or administrative experience

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and enjoys balancing both litigation and transactional work.
