We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Certified Paralegal specializing in Family Law to join our dynamic legal team. To eliminate the need for foundational training and ensure seamless case management, we are bypassing entry-level candidates for this role. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of direct industry experience and the ability to manage a complex caseload independently from day one. In this role, you will provide essential support across our family law practice, ensuring the smooth operation of case management, legal research, document preparation, and client communication. Key Responsibilities Legal Research:
Conduct comprehensive research using Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case development in family law matters.
Document Drafting:
Prepare and draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, contracts, and correspondence with precision.
Case Management:
Organize and maintain case files using Clio , ensuring all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
Client Support:
Assist attorneys with client interviews by gathering pertinent information and documenting case details accurately.
Project Management:
Support initiatives by coordinating deadlines, tracking case progress, and facilitating team communication.
Administrative Support:
Handle e-filing, calendar management, scheduling, and data entry while maintaining strict compliance with confidentiality and procedural law requirements.
Qualifications & Skills Expertise:
Extensive knowledge of family law principles and civil litigation support.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficiency in Clio , Westlaw , LexisNexis , and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette for client interactions.
Organization:
Strong organizational capabilities with a sharp eye for detail, adept at proofreading and managing multiple cases simultaneously. Please note that this is not an entry level position.
