Role Description:
The Legal Assistant will provide daily support to attorneys by organizing case files, managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating court and client deadlines. Responsibilities include preparing and formatting legal documents, maintaining physical and electronic files, and assisting with client communications and follow-up. The role also involves basic legal research support, tracking case status, and handling general office administrative tasks such as phone and email management. This is a part-time, on-site role located in San Francisco, CA, requiring two full days a week in-office and collaboration with the legal team.
Qualifications:
Strong foundation in Law and experience working as a Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role. Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal correspondence and filings. Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and vendors. Solid Administrative Assistance skills, including calendar management, file organization, data entry, and office coordination. High attention to detail, strong time-management abilities, and capacity to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Comfort with legal practice management software and standard office tools (word processing, spreadsheets, document management systems). Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution. Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Able to stay in role for around 2 years

10am - 6pm, 2 days a week in office
