Job Description

About the Role We are a growing Workers' Compensation defense firm based in Southern California with offices in Santa Ana, Pasadena and Northern California. We are looking for a detail-orientated legal assistant with a solid work ethic to join our team here in Santa Ana. We operate in two-person teams with one attorney for each assistant. A successful candidate will assist the attorney with all aspects of the litigation process while maintaining strong organizational skills. No experience is necessary as this is an entry-level position. We are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and has a desire to grow with our firm. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred Prior experience in Workers' Compensation is not required Proactive approach to problem-solving and completing tasks Organized, dependable, and able to work independently Ability to work collaboratively as part of a two-person attorney/assistant team Eagerness to learn and develop as a legal assistant Key Responsibilities Assist the attorney with all aspects of the Workers' Compensation litigation process Maintain and organize case files, documents, and correspondence Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, claims professionals, vendors, and other parties Assist with preparation of pleadings, legal documents, correspondence, and other case-related materials Handle electronic filing and other administrative aspects of case management Proactively identify outstanding tasks and work with the attorney to ensure cases are organized and moving forward Compensation & Benefits Starting salary of $36,000 per year Performance-based increase to $38,000 per year after three months Generous 401(k) match Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off (PTO) Paid holidays Monthly bonus opportunities How to Apply If you meet these criteria, please email your resume to: sdd@thepgfirm.com Your email must contain the following in the subject line: "Legal Assistant Position Santa Ana"
